The Doll Maker

This is the first self portrait I have ever done, and I painted myself about twenty years older than I was at the time. To tell you the truth I am starting to look a lot closer to it now. I painted it in the style of Rembrandt.
The perspective is one of the coolest I have ever seen in a painting, because you are looking at the back of the subject, who is Dollface. You get the texture of her hair against the hands, her stitched up arms, and a Renaissance era version of me as an older man. I used myself as the model for the doll maker who made Dollface, since I am the one who made her.
